Blend 96% Syrah and 2% each of Cinsault and Grenache
Alcohol % 15.5
More pure blackberry, pepper, leather, and gamey, iron-like nuances emerge from the 2022 Syrah Estate, a rich, medium to full-bodied Syrah that’s loaded with sweet fruit. As with just about all 2022s, it already offers pleasure yet given its overall purity, balance, concentration, and freshness, it should evolve gracefully for at least 10-12 years. The 2022 is all from sandy soils of the estate Adams Ranch Vineyard, aged in 70% new barrels.

Blend 80% Syrah, 10% Grenache, 7% Cinsaut, 3% Roussanne
Alcohol % 15.5
The 2021 Syrah Estate Blend is just slightly darker than the Grenache and checks in as 80% Syrah, 10% Grenache, 7% Cinsault, and 3% Roussanne that saw 60% whole clusters and 20 months in new and used French and Hungarian oak. Smoky blackberry fruits, violets, ground pepper, bacon fat, and rose petal notes all give this a decidedly Côte Rôtie-like style, and it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a supple, elegant mouthfeel, lots of tannins, and a gorgeous finish. Drink this beauty anytime over the coming 15 years.
