James Berry Vineyard

Rosé

Two vintages of JBV rosé were made, 2017 and 2019, both from the Cinsaut and Counoise blocks. They were picked for the purpose of rose, completely destemmed and cold fermented with Champagne yeast in stainless steel over the course of the winter and bottled prior to the spring release.

Appellation Paso Robles, WIllow Creek AVA

  • Blend 95% Counoise, 5% Cinsaut

    Alcohol % 12

Picked for the purpose of rosé, this block is almost entirely Counoise with a few stray Cinsaut clones peppered in. It is in the heart of the James Berry Vineyard on clay loam and limestone soils.  This is a visually stunning coral colored wine with breathtaking floral aromatics and stunning Provencial flavor. The finish is extraordinarily long with beautifully integrated aspects refreshing pink fruits, refined acidity and flower nectar.
